Please note If you are unsure of whether your contact information is in the emergency database, or you have recently moved or changed your telephone number, it is important to visit the enrollment page below to add or update your information. Do not assume you are automatically enrolled to receive notifications.

Methods to Inform the Public:
When a crisis occurs, local public safety officials have various methods to alert the public:
- Media press releases written by local government and delivered to local radio, television, newspapers and the Morton County web-site.
- Morton County is now trained and certified with IPAWS (Integrated Public Alert and Warning System) through AlertSense. This means that Morton County officials can now send an emergency message through Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) and the Emergency Alert System (EAS). These systems send messages to your mobile device, and all-hazards alert radios, and broadcast on radio and television stations.
- The CodeRED Notification System. This system is a series of remote computers and telephone lines to relay a recorded message to the public with information and instructions during an emergency or non emergency event.
While no system can ever be guaranteed to be disaster proof, by using these three methods, local officials make every effort to keep the public informed.
