Welcome to the Assessment Information Center

On an annual basis, the Morton County Tax Equalization Office must conduct a review of property values using the prior year sales see "Assessment Sales Ratio Study".  North Dakota Century Code requires each county to conduct an annual review to assure equalization among the counties in comparison to the previous year's market sales.  North Dakota Century Code 57-13

To assure the utmost transparency in this process, we have attached some of the most critical documents to this webpage for our constituents to access.

  • Property Tax Assessment Fact Sheet & Answers
  • Fiscal Summary of 2023 Property Assessment Increase
  • Zone Area Map

You can find the past mill rates for your property on the Morton County Auditor's Property Tax Information page.

For more information on what a mill is the ND Association of Counties has an Understanding Property Taxes page.
